My car was flooded and David did a great job cleaning the cowl. Guys were quick and friendly. Even helped vacuuming excess rain water from the cabin. Highly recommend. Upfront about the price. Even helped with a leak I had in the front tire.

I highly recommend this shop! I came in with an oil leak about a month after supposedly having my timing belt replaced at another shop. From the moment I arrived, they were welcoming, professional, and honest. They took my car in right away, cleaned the oil from the engine and underneath the car, found the source of the leak, and explained everything clearly before doing any work. They also discovered that the timing belt I had paid to replace at the previous shop had clearly never been replaced - the wear on it made that obvious. The service was excellent from start to finish - professional, transparent, trustworthy, and fairly priced. It’s not easy to find a mechanic you can truly trust, and I’m so glad I found this place. They handle everything from basic maintenance to more complicated repairs, and I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended! Where do I even start? David, the new owner as of fall 2025 I think, is quite possibly the best mechanic and car repair business owner I've ever dealt with. I have a decent knowledge of auto repair and knew most of what I needed walking through the door. He listened to my thoughts and clearly explained to me his process and what to expect during his assessment, recommendation, repair and payment process. His communication was excellent! He worked with me on a schedule that was respectful of my work needs. He made reasonable recs based on my budget and when it was safe made recs for delayed next step improvements. With no request in my part, he also provided some basic cleaning of the interior, exterior and really nice steam cleaning of the engine compartment. I am utterly blown away at how dedicated he is to building a business that serves a community and establishing relationships with his patrons that will bring them back as lifelong customers. I'm not being hyperbolic. I needed brake pad, rotors, and significant work on my suspension. He's not a magician. He's a good mechanic, a good businessman, a good communicator and he does his work at a fair price in a reasonable amount o

10/10 Military Friendly, Professional, Courteous, and Well Priced This shop not only understands customer service but goes above and beyond to fix your car problems! I stumbled upon this place for a brake job. Without an appointment and only a few hours before closing, David and his nephew Samir found out that I was a military service member and front loaded me to get the job done on the spot. They run the shop with the highest professionalism and yet treats everyone like family. It is my go to shop and I don’t ever mind the drive out from Brooklyn.

Such a great experience with East Side Auto and especially David 💛 I actually had a list of repair shops I researched and planned to call, but while getting gas at the Mobil, I randomly decided to ask if they could take a look at my car to give me an estimate for the repairs. I am so thankful I did. David and the team were kind, professional, patient, and super thorough from the very beginning. They ran their own diagnostics and he walked me through everything clearly, and even brought me back to the work area to show me exactly what needed to be repaired and explain my options without pressure. The shop was busy the entire time I was there, but David stayed calm, helpful, and attentive with everyone who came in. You can tell they really care about people and take pride in their work. I came back the following week for the repairs, everything was finished on time, and they even hand washed and detailed the car inside and out before pickup. I am really impressed by the whole experience and will absolutely recommend David and East Side Auto again and again.
